Apple Crumble is the most delicious dessert you will make and it's so easy.
Peel six apples, then core and slice them.
Sprinkle with lemon juice to avoid discolouring.
Add three tablespoons of water and three of sugar.
Simmer to soften the apples.
Take off the heat and cool slightly.
For the crumble
180g plain flour
80g butter.
80g brown sugar
Mix the flour and fat to form breadcrumb consistency.
Add the brown sugar and mix. Spread the crumb over the cooled apples.
Bake in a preheated oven at gas mark 4 or 180C for 45 minutes. If the topping does not brown,
increase to gas 6 or 200C for ten minutes.
You'll be amazed at how delicious it is.
